Pan African AI Talent ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Pan African AI Summit and Corporate Training Ltd, based in Accra, Ghana, which is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We operate a verified AI talent network connecting African AI professionals with employers worldwide. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using this site or submitting information to us, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

What we collect depends on how you use the network:

• Talent applicants: full name, email, phone (optional), country, CV file, portfolio/research links, specialization, years of experience, bio, and Pan African AI Summit attendance if applicable.
• Recruiters and companies: your name, work email, company name and details, subscription tier, and billing contact information.
• Everyone: messages you send us through the contact form, and standard technical data such as IP address and browser type, collected automatically via server logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To manually vet and tier-rate talent submissions.
• To display approved, public talent profiles to recruiters browsing the network, and full profiles to companies who have unlocked or subscribed.
• To process one time verification fees and recruiter billing.
• To respond to enquiries sent via the contact form or email.
• To operate, secure, and improve the platform.

3. Payment Processing

Payments — the one time talent verification fee and any recruiter charges — are processed by Paystack, a third party payment processor. Card and mobile-money details are entered directly on Paystack's secure checkout and are never stored on our servers. Paystack's own privacy policy governs how it handles that payment data.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal data. We share it only in these situations:

• Public talent profiles: once approved, a talent profile is visible to recruiters browsing the network at the level of detail their access tier allows (anonymized summary, or full CV and contact details once unlocked).
• Service providers: cloud file storage (Amazon Web Services), our payment processor (Paystack), and our email delivery provider — each only to the extent needed to run the service.
• Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Pan African AI Talent or others.

5. Data Storage & Security

CVs, profile photos, and other uploaded files are stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encrypted connections and access controls — to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account or talent profile is active, or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time — see "Your Rights" below.

7. Your Rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to stop using it, by emailing info@panafricanaisummit.com (talent) or info@panafricanaisummit.com (recruiters). We'll respond within a reasonable time.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect the site from cross site request forgery. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

9. International Data Transfers

Because we connect African talent with employers worldwide, your data may be processed on servers located outside your home country, including through our cloud infrastructure and payment providers. We take steps to ensure it remains protected wherever it is processed.

10. Children's Privacy

Pan African AI Talent is intended for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
